I thought I did OK with Halloween decor on the mantel = spider webs, spooky chain, large spider, light up pumpkins, trick or treat blocks. But I was told we didn't have enough decorations for Halloween and our house wasn't spooky enough. Carter took it upon himself to add the following decorations as pictured below. THANKS for the help Carter!!! Yes I have left them up - using my "good" mom skills.

good work Carter--has he been watching Mariko? That is something she would do. Or actually something that Jaiden would do! Mariko tells people my favorite thing to do is "put up the decorations".
Good Mom! It's hard sometimes to let them "do it themselves!" I actually thought the spooky fireplace was great! My kids are deprived. We have pumpkins on the porch and 4 decorations in the house and that's it!
